PatoGen is a biotechnology company that develops and sells gene technology analyses that is used to reduce disease related loss in the aquaculture industry. Their HQ and main laboratory is located in Ålesund, Norway. They also have a lab and office in Bodø, and offices in Oslo and Bergen. The company has activities in all parts of the salmon producing world.
PatoGen has the most modern laboratories for gene technology analyses for detecting fish pathogens in Europe. The company’s operations is based on over 13 years of determined development work on mainly Real-Time PCR analyses and their use. Their services contribute to increased profitability and predictability in the aquaculture industry by preventing infection and disease and contribute to meeting customers’ strict requirements for cost efficient, animal and environmental friendly production of Atlantic salmon, rainbow trout and cleaner fish.
The company’s core expertise and R&D activities are in three parts: Laboratory and fish health operations, molecular characterisation of pathogens and development of analyses. A diverse team of advisors working closely with the aquaculture industry in all parts of the production. KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER
Do you want to become a part of PatoGen's dedicated and competent sales and technical team, and be responsible for consulting, sales and follow-up of customers in the UK and possibly Island and the Faroe Islands.
If you have a great deal of commitment to the aquaculture industry and want to contribute to better fish health through preventive measures, then this is something for you. You must be a team player while having your own drive and motivation to develop relationships with and help our customers.
- Promote PatoGen`s services as part of fish farmers preventive fish health plans
- Follow-up customers on a daily basis, to ensure high utility of PatoGen's services
- Training, consulting and educating mainly FV and SW site personnel
- Follow-up internal R&D and customer projects in the region
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Biologist / Fish health biologist / Veterinarian
- Experience from fish farming is an advantage
- Engaged and good relationship builder
- Self-propelled, structured and result oriented
- Experience in sales and customer relations in aquaculture
- Speaks and writes fluent English
Interesting tasks in a good working environment with a diverse and highly professional competence team, as well as competitive conditions. The office will preferably be in Oban, but another location can be considered. The position involves travel activity domestically and internationally.
