Scottish Aquaculture Sector at Aqua Nor, Trondheim, August 20, 21
The Scottish Aquaculture Innovation Centre (SAIC) has managed to secure a stand at the heavily over-subscribed aquaculture exhibition, Aqua Nor, Trondheim, Norway on August 20 and 21. This is an important meeting place for the aquaculture industry takes place very second year. It is the world’s largest aquaculture technology exhibition, with attendance from worldwide fish farmers, suppliers, researchers and officials.
The focus of the SAIC stand will be the wider Scottish aquaculture industry, including the supply chain, innovation, research expertise and capability, with a Team Scotland approach from SAIC, Scottish Development International (SDI) and Highlands & Islands Enterprise (HIE). There is a full programme of seminars and mini-conferences that will run alongside the exhibition, with a special Scottish supply chain seminar, on the opening day, featuring the Scottish Government’s Cabinet Secretary for Rural Economy – Fergus Ewing MSP as keynote speaker.
There may be practical help available if you are a Scottish business or academic institution attending AquaNor. The SAIC stand will be a useful ‘networking lounge’ for Scottish businesses to bring people along to, for a chat or to attend a presentation ,and a VIP meeting room may also be available on a bookable basis.
If you are a post-graduate student at a Scottish university and your study is supported by an aquaculture company in Scotland, you might be eligible for a SAIC conference grant.
